Thank you kindly for the offer, though I have no need for the sleeves.

Are these seats lappable?

...and these 72.5mm ID sleeves potentially borable to 74mm minimum?

Hi Daveo, difficult to tell from the pics but I think a 75mm (1170) bore will clean the cylinders (I hope so, I have a 1088 A2 block with one cyl that looks similar for my build)
I think the seats would lap (eventually) but a couple of issues, firstly by the time you are done you will have palms like a teenager who just "discovered himself"  but more importantly the contact band between the valve and seat is likely to be excessively wide, when you are going to this much trouble a 3 angle seat re-cut would make sense

I can sympathize sort of...my polisher's elbow improved some once I got chromed, but it never went away entirely.

Those multi-layered head gaskets are part number 11004-1119. I have used those head gaskets on my 73mm early model motors for years without any problems. I have around 230~240 cranking pressure on my motors. And I only use 30 pounds max head torque too and never had any problems or leakage!!!!

I open up all of those vent holes between the cylinder bores as big as I can. Its a lot of work, but the more air flow the better!!!!!!

...a long time ago, I'm guessing.

Acquired an 84 ZN1100 motor and I have a few questions.
This seems like a good place to start.

Not sure I like this Kawasaki 11004-1104 gasket, though I've had good luck with the fiber type.

What could have caused such a failure?
