We always use Apex Brakes for our lines, 7 out of our 12 bikes have them. You won't be disappointed and Apex is in Canada.

Hi Kelly
Thanks for getting back to me.
I went on Apex Brakes, They seem to be mostly or all automotive. Do I have the right link?
I tried to build some custom lines, but their banjo bends in their  pics. aren't what we need for our bikes.
Would you have a list of part  #s  for the lines you ordered.
Your back end is the same as mine. The front should be the same, minus in one line.
Thanks in advance.

Send them a message on the contact form and they'll get back to you. It's not the best website but we've bought at least 7 sets of lines from them. They have the spec's for a lot of bikes.

Hi Kelly
I did send Apex an email, but they never got back to me. I did some more looking around on the net. I found an outfit out of Calgary, called HEL.
You can build custom lines on their web site. The only problem was you can't change the direction of the banjo's on the site.
I gave him a call, I emailed some pics of the lines and sizes/ lengths. This was late Monday afternoon. The new brake lines were on my doorstep Friday morning.
Calgary is only a couple hrs away, but still pretty nice service.
Pretty good prices, the lines came with banjo bolts and copper washers.

I have a question on bleeding the back brake.
I rebuilt the rear caliper, pistons move in and out freely. I used the red grease sparingly that came with the kit.
Installed a new line.
Took apart the MC and cleaned it. I didn't buy a rebuild kit, as everything seemed in good condition and none of the rubbers were hard.
I checked the push rod for back pressure, and it moved in and out freely.
I did the bleeding the ole fashion way. Pump up and release with the bleeder bolt. I used a rubber hose ( didn't have a clear one handy) submerged fluid in the bottom of a clear container.
I pumped enough fluid to go from the upper reservoir mark to the lower mark.
But I can't get any back pressure.
Thoughts?
With moving that much brake fluid, there shouldn't be anything plugged!?
Thanks in advance.
Conrad

That's too bad, we've always had great service from Raymond. We did the KZ 1000LTD back in February with no issues from Raymond.

Couple more questions
I put the carbs back together. But the choke/ enricher rod seems to have bottomed out. Where did I goof?
Two of the 4 bolts that go into the fork to hold the fender, are partly broken. Is there enough meat left not to be a concern? If not, is there a fix, besides new forks!

The cap for my rear MC is full of cracks. I went to the local swap meet the other day. This Brembo cap fits perfectly. Just an FYI if someone is looking and can't find one.

Back pressure? Do you have a solid hard peddle? If not it’s more likely a bleed/balance return port that is blocked. It a very, very, very tiny hole dead center under the large side bolt. Aslo need the holes in the end of the piston clear.

Thanks Mikaw
I will take it apart and see where I may/ probably missed it. I thought I'd cleaned things pretty well! But that side hole would be easy to miss!
Any thoughts on the fender bolts in the fork legs!?
