I think 'Goose' is to the Z (KZ) what Tim Cruise is to the GPZ !

I thought perhaps he was building one of the ratty looking ones that others rode in the film. I was in two minds for a moment as to whether the one on the trailer was the finished article, built from the blue one in the other pictures - you see some weird stuff done these days by the "artistic" types :)

Now I do know what the Goose bike is, it's the one, that shall we say, got a lot of air.

The bravest or stupidest man alive has to be the camera guy in that picture, if he actually rode on the back to film the speedo and tacho in that scene, nice to see that although he doesn't have a helmet, he has some stout motocross looking boots to protect his shins and ankles, after his head bounces of the road.

Would that be what Richard Gere is to the Triumph Bonneville? (Officer and a Gentleman, you know the one with Loose Gusset, Jr. as the drill Sergeant)

In 1982 I was working for a company based in Holland and spent 4 weeks over there that summer. While over the border in Germany one weekend, I remember seeing a motorcycle dealership that had these or similar fairings hanging up in the window. They were quite intriguing at the time, this was "pre crotch rocket" so there were very few bikes with sporty fairings, as opposed to touring, outside of the race track. I sort of fancied one for my KZ1000J that I had in the UK, but without the internet back then, never saw anything like it again so ended up with a bikini fairing so my bike looked like a silver ELR 1000R.

See my avatar to see if Steve cares.

The Jerries did use captured equipment so it's not completely impossible. It could have been aquired at the Dunkirk yard sale.

I was supposed to be a German bike. BMW? I had one in my shop. Gutless, no wonder they used a Triumph in the movie.
