Yes welcome. I'd like to see how it's put together. Does it run?

Well I got the motor running but due to carbs that need to be set did not ride it yet. Does feel like all gears engage as well as clutch so mechanically it seems ok.

She needs lots of cleaning up though.

Thanks guys!

Yes yes will be a fun project. Also busy building a bobber for my wife. Has a 440 Ltd motor. And then there is a 400 GPZ as well as a 1100 Katana being restored......hahahahaha....plenty keeping us busy!

The 650 is my bike though so will nurse her back to life. :)

Steve,

Yes toying with the idea so will see which way it goes.
First need to clean up the mess it is in....Dreading the electrical part since that is pretty much an abortion

But...one step at a time lol!

Stuck with finding a part on the 440 LTD though

I think a new plate will need to be in order here ie replace it!
Although it is working, the damage to the plate makes adjustment difficult.

Po's suck. At least the Zephyr head makes it unusual. I wonder what the compression is on it compared to the 650.

Looking at that ignition advancer gives me the willies. It looks like the joker that owned the bike used any old fasteners and wire he had laying around the shed rather than using the correct ones. That's easily fixed by replacing the unit and using the correct fasteners to attach it to the engine and by replacing his household wiring with the correct wires, BUT it would make me damned nervous about the quality of the work he did replacing the swing arm, forks, brakes, cylinder head, etc. PLEASE do yourself a favor and go over all that stuff with a fine toothed comb to make sure the previous owner didn't leave you and death traps. Ed, yes that is the plan. Will strip it down and check clean and fix whatever is needed. Some challenges ahead but should be fun!
