yeah i sat on it. the shock was really tight. the spring was pressed almost all the way down. i moved the "rings" up 1" and its a little better.have you sat on it yet the way you have it?

If you do it the way I suggest, it's easier. You can build the bracket on your welding table. Then bolt it to the linkage. Swing it into position and have some adjustment to play with.
It's the same concept as the two brackets welded to the frame like in this photo but a lot easier to do and position.
Anyway, that's how I did it. Worked for me kid

the cross tube is tacked right now. i can move it some. or i can take the 2 mounts off. im just not sure what you meant with the origional comment. :S the way it sits right now is ok with me, but if you see something wrong please explain. remember im a lil slow...Stu Pidasole wrote:

Based on the first pic I commented on, it didn't show the bottom bracket was made yet. If this photo is your bike, then you've done it so you can disregard the drawing.
When I positioned the shock, I wanted the shock to be sitting as perfectly vertical as I could get it. At the same time I wanted the dog leg to be positioned so the bottom of it was parallel with the floor.
In order to do that, I made the top mount first. Then the bottom mount as in the sketch. Result...shock centered in swingarm hole and sitting vertical with the linkage not cocked

Weld the inside of those tabs too. And, it would't hurt to tie them together with a plate.
What's the top mount look like?
