Leon, you should try one of these some time: www.iscar.com/Ecat/familyHDR.asp/fnum/23...TYP/M/type/1/lang/EN
I had a 4" diameter one running 4000 rpm at 100 inches/minute cutting aluminum on one of our open bed mills one time. It would throw chips into the next county. I set up a chip screen that was made from two screen doors hinged together to try and stop the chips. If left running too long the fiberglass screen material would start burning.
i have ran a face mill like that before(except it had four cutters),here at work back when i was the fabricator/machinist/engine builder/mechanic dude.
i would like to have one i just haven't been able to justify the price yet.
one day tho :silly: .
i have slag scars on my arms and legs where hot slag went into my boots/clothes mid weld.i danced around but finished the welds, which is why i scarred so bad.

the worse..i had slip on redwings when hanging iron...the slag from a cut got in and peeled the top thin skin off my foot before i could get my boot off...all of this happened about a hundred feet up....or the time i stepped on a freshly welded bridging for support to brace myself for the next weld ( while thinking about a scumbag girlfriend) and it popped free,,, i fell into the floor and was hanging on my underarms...on fresh welds...
I hate that woman......
No I can't say I've ever done that. But, I can say that I hit myself in the shin with an 8lb sledge hammer once. That'll make you wonder if you're gonna shit or puke. Still have the dent in my shin bone. :pinch:

yes a laser don't work half as good as a straight edge. i got my chain today, and a straight edge/ruler told me the "laser" was a waste of coin.:laugh:Hey Pidasole, did you ever get a laser?

You're off in an entirely different direction than I went. That's fine. Run with it. No two bikes should be alike IMO any.
I set certain design criteria before I even began. At the top of the list was a desire to have the finished product look like it came from the factory.
In other words, if Kawasaki had the suspension available back in 79 and was going to make a limited production run of bikes that didn't distract completely from the original styling, what would it have looked like....
Classic but modern at the same time
I'll be checking in to see what you come up with...
