Those are some good honest numbers; thanks for posting.

We tried to get a torque curve but my resistorless sparkplug caps were most likely disrupting the signal from 5k rpm onwards.

Yeah, I worked at a shop where we had a dyno and we'd get the same thing from time to time. It's insane, also; the only way you can get a bHp reading is by using a measurement of 'torque' as a multiplier to determine the bHp...so, you'd think that since 'torque' is a known quantity (it must be to reach a 'bHp' figure) that you'd always be able to read the curve...but alas, not so.

That one got me stomped too.

Very nice build Robinjo. A major improvement from original without hacking up a rare bike. I'll surely be asking you some questions as I am a new owner as well to mine. Curious, is yours registered as a Martin with it's frame number or is it registered as Kawasaki with the motor number? Here is mine...
Thanks for the compliment and I'd be happy to help where ever I can. My bike is officially registered as a 1981 Martin, type Kawasaki, frame number KC followed by four digits not related to the engine number.
I really like your bike, racer rough and period correct, love the drilled rotors and Brembo's.
