I've been temporarily defeated by the front brake, can't seem to get it bled properly, even tried a different master cilinder but that didn't help... bled a lot of brakes but this one is a toughie, maybe a big siringe or a vacuum pump might work.

here at work(toyota forklift dealership)we up bleed brakes from the wheel cylinder, block the master cylinder open and pressure up in to the reservore(sp?)until you see no bubbles and clean fluid.we use squirt oil cans with a vacuum hose wired on the end to connect to the bleeder with brake fluid in it to do it. hth

There you go! :cheer:

An actual working windmill, used to grind grane for the baker next door to it, pretty windy outside today so it was spinning fast. Kinda dwarfs the mighty Martin though.

I finally got the brakes bled, sort of.

Turns out one of the botttom exits of the brakeline splitter had an 'issue' (learned that from OCC  ) and was filed down flat again but at a few degrees angle, solved by really bolting the banjo down tightly squishing the sealer washer to twice it's normal width at one end, when I replaced it with a new one without knowing what was going on down there it kept leaking. I resurfaced the entire bottom end of the splitter so it's all straight again. Also there some air still trapped in there so ended up unbolting it from the lower tree and keeping it at and angle during bleeding and leaving it a day under pressure got me some pressure, not perfect but enough for a testrun. Could have acces to a vacuum system soon hopefully.

Is this a stock Kawa splitter?

Test run this saturday at the Open house day of Moto Eemnes, weather permitting.

Windmill gears are usually flat plates with interlocking pins afaik, wooden off course.

That is an early single disk splitter. it will work fine.I used 1 like that. the dual disks, had a similar splitter with another outlet.B)

This is the splitter that was on my dual disc bike, there are two outlets on the bottom, you can see that one was filed down (crooked) allways good to know if a part is stock or not on a special bike like this.

He who brakes later rides fast longer right? ;)

Brakes are about right now, did some more bleeding and left it standing under pressure for a night ad I got some pressure without pumping, after another night the lever is a bit firmer still, shaved down brake pads still need some running in too I guess so that should help.

Also entered the bike for the "1st Int. Dutch Classic
Superbike Meeting" in June I told you about a while ago and it's accepted. :) Check out the contestants foto gallery! www.classicsuperbikemeeting.nl/english/english.htm

But right now I lost the clutch, all of a sudden it's slipping and can't be adjusted properly, the feel in the lever is weird. Checked a lot of stuff also inside the motor but that looks okay except two broken fiber plates, maybe it's the bit of galling on the cluth rod or maybe the worm gear is the issue. will do a search here for the common causes.
