Last month have been used to built up the new garage.
I have rented space in an old factory, so I needed to build up the garage.
Its a dry big factory hall, here is some of the part I will use, cant use the whole of it, the heating expenses would be astronomic!
So now these days I am moving in, not finished 100%, but its closer now.
So, over to some chain and sprocket issues...
On this picture the TL1000R swing and wheel is 100% in centre with the frame.
Using a line laser.
So, when the wheel is in centre, It is 25 mm offset.
I think that is way to much out, also its just enough space for the chain not to rub the frame. I will use 530 chain and sprockets.
And its 10mm from the red laser line to the frame, also 10mm to the 190 tire.
The sprocket carrier is machined down maximum by Leon.
So far I think that I will move the wheel/swing 15mm to the right, than I can use 10 -15mm offset sprocket. Many bikes have some swingarm offset from factory.
kano sent me an link for a Ebay shop, that sell offset sprockets.
Ebay.
I ordered this one.
Also I bought a GOLDEN chain.
Ebay.
( I ordered a 530 chain...)
And I have measured out where to weld the shock fasteners.
Now I have the original hight, similar to what is original, except the little difference in tire size.
So maybe beginning of next week the welder is done...And then its painting the swing! :woohoo:

So, the next now is paint, I am a little unsure if I should use 2K paint, or Gun-Kote, the finish on the swing is very rough, because the old paint was really hard to blast, some old epoxy...
So in order to have a nice finish I think I need to use filler. Need to take an decision..
And some Gun-Kote on the new Kerker.
I removed the rust and painted the baffler gold as well. :woohoo:
And here are the result.

that header turned out nice, good job on that.
too bad you don't know someone with an industrial sized tumbler that they could put your swingarm in.that would smooth that swingarm up quite a bit.
your welder done a good job welding the shock mounts on.
shoot mark,

Ok, some news...
The Gun-Kote shipping time, USA ---> Norway = 4.5 days... With a weekend between, Thats really :woohoo: !!!
So after the painting its time for new bearings.
Getting closer, now its ordering new tires, (need to go down to 180 rear) so I can install the new chain.
