No riding, except I have borrowed a ZX6R from a friend now and then, but you know, its the cc that rules, a 600cc bike its to small, just like a moped!

are u saying the shims in the pic are home made?
if u need shimms , they are about $5 US each at Z1E. If u need help to get them just ask. I may even have a spare that u need.
OK , what are those parts that Leon made ?

I bought that set they have there;
And I also got 16 shims additional from those two other heads, so I am satisfied.
Those parts are two fasteners for the shocks at the swing, and one brake rod fastener at the swing.
Now I am using the TL1000R swing... The Busa swing is not fitting so well at all compared to TL.
Pics will come later today.
kzr750r1:
Thanks!
Those shims are homemade yes, by this person which now rides a HD :S, I cant understand the meaning behind making something like that.

OK, you have seen my carbon layer tank earlier, now its time to cut it clean and prepare it for the 2 pack varnish with UV filter, so the epoxy dont turn yellow.
Here it is, ready for cut and trim.
Using mini diamond blade on a Dremel.
Its total 10 layers with epoxy, and I need to sand it carefully down without sanding the carbon, so the surface becomes smooth and ready for the varnish.
So, now its ready for wet sanding, and finally the varnish. Here are the front headlight, ready for use, with varnish.
Note the seam on the right side, I like it, because its hand made stuff! :woohoo:
Have a nice weekend folks!

To make a qualified guess, I would say that I will fire up the engine during the next month or so... ( )
The silver frame.
So, I have barely started on the ELR, Z1000R now, the frame is sandblasted, and I have under much investigation and searching found the paint I will use.
I cant promise any fast progress, but I have started at least.
This paint is similar to the POR-15
First, the blasted frame. :woohoo:
Its a nice day doing paintwork.
As with the POR-15, this paint shall be stirred not shaken, otherwise the lid can pop of.
Here is the result, nice gloss silver.
Its important to wear protection gear!
