Custom Z1 Paint Scheme Sort Of

well I'm outta gas lol it sucks gettin old this heat just takes it out of me
not so much that I didn't go for a short ride.

any wat went ahead and made me some paint stands for side covers and whatever
ese i may end up using them for

underside gotta ton of sanding to do my least favirute part

couldnt stand the suspense had to spray a little color



cant wait to start the fun part

Is that a hairline crack in the cover, or just a shadow?

Thats just the outline of the tab part of the mold.

The inside has allot of mould marks but I am seriously impressed with the finish of these very little
almost no blemishes to work out if I hadnt filled the holes would have been a quick prep Z1 does it again

made some headway last couple days got the tail fin and tank in color
had a serious set back on the tank so I have spent the majority of my
time moving forward on the other parts the side covers are ready for chroming
the centers for the kz1000 emblems






laid the stripes out then taped everything up to
paint the gold




First gold was a variation of Aztec gold the pic shows
it way lighter than it was but after getting an opinion
on the lack of pop and overall babyshiz green/gold was not the right mix

my girl decided to shoot some shots of me working for the website




yes I this was all before we changed colors



so I am sitting there thinking What the hell am I gonna
do? I hate the gold Les's doesnt like it & I dont have
a great deal of Quality paint at my disposal.

I dumped a ton if silver metallic in it Then some
05 Corvette Daytona sunrise and it looked a ton better more of a copper gold
but a little too pink getting worse not better then
I remember my Kustom Shop Copper pearl
added about 1/4 teaspoon and a touch of black and bingo!
crazy cool color cant wait to see the clear bring it out




Still pondering what to do with the tank but the easiest
section is getting close

Got the side covers chromed yesterday for the emblem rendition and
my guy still hasnt got my stencils done I should've just
acted like a regular customer they would have been done a month ago




onlt cheomed the fronts but I'm seeing a chrome bike in my
future lol







hopefully I will have the tank ready to start on the emblems this
weekend but I havent had the time I need to get it right
