Custom Z1 Paint Scheme Sort Of

I know the pic's are getting redundant but this is the slow part of the
process.
scuffed the other side got the chrome masked





tomorrow i am working half day going to pick out some paint
have not been happy with the samples i have tried yet.
still have finish prepping tank for the color and the
rest of the bodywork.

will be trying to get it ready for color this weekend but have a ton of
work on my yard barn this weekend going to transform it into
semi clean room and redoing the floor

it looks great.

When I had the guy make my stickers I noticed he printed the black on white vinyl then he would cut the chrome out of chrome tape and apply it to the decal then lamitnate it so i had him cut me
each section of the decal out of paint mask and leave it unweeded so I could use the parts I needed

I hope it works and I dont spend a month screwing up a decent paint job project

Wow been a crazy couple weeks been woring along with redoing the floor in my building and moving out 18 years worth of bugs spiders and broken shovels dead weadeaters and and ok just plain junk! not good junk but real junk.

Built a couple small benches and hope to have the inside wired next week electrician will be out next weekend to connect my service so hopefully I can get the spray chrome tub out of my bedroom lol

finaly got my paint mixed today my graphics guy promised me he would have my Side cover emblem masks and the rest of my tank emblem masks cut today before he went on vacation well... He didnt so I'm moving forward anyway. hope to have the bodywork ready to paint by the weekend my biggest problem is the emblem painting requires chroming before painting so the side covers will be last

lol Thanks! but those who know me would definately tell you I dont wait well :laugh: but my graphics guy and my paint guy trade work out with me no way I could afford to pay the 300 for 1 pint of paint and 40.00 min per hour to design the masks and then 20.00 min for the masks and honestly other projects have kept me occupied the real problem is 9 miles worth of seat time since my trip up north

Brought my bike home thinking if I caould just go out and hop on it I would get more seat time, but I found out I am either never at home or I'm working when I am

Ok so today we move forward a little Today ran to madisonville
bought some electrical supplies decided to try out my semi clean building
an actually do some work in it.

appreciate your help Leon i asked a question about plastic welding a while
back you were pretty encouraging if I remember right

anyone of us that have messed with cracked side covers or wanted to shave the
emblems have tried body filler of some type I am sure

well i decided to weld my holes up to eliminate as much filler as possible
(usually use fiberglass= heavy and messy)




black plastic wire tie did the trick

putting up lights and electrical boxes in between hope to have another update
by end of today if everything goes well everything will be in primer and blocked
by evening
