1978 KZ 1000 B2 Main Stand

Old Kaw no disrespect but I wasn’t confusing the wrench size and the bolt size. Also as replied to SWest my LTD required a different part number. It turns out to be a 14mm-1.25. Credit to Asphalt 900 for the info. Not sure why everyone is stating I needed a 10mm bolt. Seems all 4 of my bikes use the same main stand and same shoulder bolt.

Sizes are off as I was using a stripped junk bolt and nut for demo.

Those rusty bolts are not Kawasaki center stand bolts. Since they don't look to be anything other than large diameter bolts, just go to Fastenall and replace them.

They're the same as what I have.

In looking at the ebay auction / stand you posted using the magnified viewer I do see that the shoulder bolts are larger than the 10mm studs on the later models. Pictures help immensely although the guessing game can get interesting at times. Z1E has new ones for sale.

One of our members sent me a pair after he wrecked his KZ 1000 ST. I had lost one and they were a perfect fit. I now have a spare.

Well considering that the OEM part is NLA from Partzilla, the Z1E listing is for a >set with new nuts<. 29 bucks seems high for a couple of bolts, but considering it is for 2, shoulder bolts softens the blow considerably.
