Rickman Kawasaki was created by jerry a smith
I've purchased a Rickman frame with a '78 Z1 motor with the intention of racing in the vintage classes.I've found articles about the brothers and their history, but no luck with technical info(books, manuals, etc)Anybody know of anything out there.I'm presently racing a stock(slight overbore)'75 Z1 at present. Thanks Jerry

Hi.I've been racing with a vintage club(VRRA.ca)here since 2005 on the Z1.The bike is stock except for an overbore with Wiseco pistons(tired rings),and Progressive springs in front and shocks in back.It has over 40 races on it.It DNF'd once(broken battery wire-damn 34 year old wire)and I just do basic maintenance and repair crash damage(damn 60 year old rider).
It still has the original Lester wheels on it.I'm still not sure how to post pictures(grand-daughter calls me computer retarded. If someone wants to try to explain how I'll try. Thanks Jerry

jerry the site has been upadated and it is very easy to post pics.if the pictures are on your computer, when you go to "reply"you will see on the bottom where it says
"Select image file to attach" click the "browse"button.
it should pop up your computer files and you can choose which picture file to upload by clicking it.it will put the image code in the box next to the "Select image file to attach"now position the cursor where you want the pic to show up in your post(usually below where you typed in the words)now click on image and it will put the image place holder where the pic will show up at.then hit submit (or preview,if you want to preview the post)this way lets you put one picture per post.master this and we will get you to postin multiple pics per post, hehe.hth(hope this helps),

p.s.when your computer files come up if you can't see the pictures just right click up in the middle of the files and go to "view" then out to the right click thumbnails and then you can see which pic you wan't to choose.

Thanks for the instructions. It looked like it was working, but then said the image was too large.I can e-mail pictures to people because it reduces the images for me,but I don't know how to do it myself.I'm still learning to type with more than one finger.

Yah.Hard to imagine that we're allowed to ride a machine that falls over if you forget to hold it up.

Man I'm going to start chanting
Jerry!
Jerry!
Jerry!

I've GOTTA see photos of this bike; reason is: you stole my idea! Well, at least you've got the money to do it. I always wanted to take a Rickman CR and vintage race it. LOVE those bikes!
So, Jerry, email me your photos: badkawkr@yahoo.com and I'll post 'em up here for you.
Then we can root for you when you go racing!!!
