Bigger IS better. In pic 305mm/12" stationary cannon in Örö island fortress. These were "retired" over 30 years ago after a test shot. Vibration and shock wave cracked the garrison swimming pool and shattered couple of dozen windows. These ones located on islands out side Helsinki could shoot over Gulf of Finland down to Estonian coast....Every shot took over 2 kilos of iron off the barrel...
These were replaced with 100mm and 130mm turret guns.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/100_56_TK
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/130_TK
These had a range upto 18km and could shoot the flag post off a vessel in range of 5 km. Extremely accurate and fast guns. Gould shoot 6 rounds per minute.

as for fixer5000, talk about stirring the shit? try minding your own business. leave my thread alone.
and as for responding, i asked a question of what type of MEMBER is preferred here, not what kind of BIKE, nor did i ask your OPINION of my bike. read the question again after a few english lessons.

Well to be honest you did come in asking if we hated choppers. Not what kind of bikes we like. So I think you were expecting if not looking for trouble. Second to that you got quite a lot of support and interest. Yeah.. you got some flack too. Some people cannot see past their own passions. You were told pretty clear what was gonna happen. But you kind of got all jack booted and started stomping around. As with anything with varied interest it takes some armor and a sense of how to retaliate. To a degree you fell into a trap but your reaction only made the ropes get tighter. My recommendation is put down the flame thrower and post your interests. You will find that this place is unique in it's varied interests and when it comes together it is both entertaining and informative. That's not to say someone in the next 5 posts is not going to piss you off but hell we're a bunch of testosterone fueled motorcycle junkies. Ball busting, noogies and eye pokes(bro) comes with the territory. But nukes and napalm are dealt with similarly.
