i always said theres two differant kind of circumstances and two differant actions when somebody is falling from the sky.if its a downed pilot his war is over and hes a prisoner.if its infantry jumping in to take you out they are fair game, since theyre coming out of the sky to kill you.i can remember trying to climb up the damn risers of my ol T10 trying to make myself a smaller target, but thats the life of the infantry!

See, now honestly, that impresses me more; HumVs are a tough mother of a unit.
Yeah, lookin' back it's pretty darn funny:lol: ...now. But at the time it beat the ever-lovin' crap outta me and the boys. Probably shouldn't tell all the details here, but one broken ankle, a black eye, and a side full of severely cracked-ribs were the (fortunate) extent of the human damage...pretty freakin' lucky.:side:
But yeah, it's been 20 years so it's incredibly funny! Just ran into the Colonel the other day (he was a Capt at the time) for the first time in 20 years and boy did we have a laugh. We just about cost him his commission, but it all came out in the wash and he was exhonerated...thank GOD!
Any-who, sorry to go all deep on ya, but it did bring back some hilarious memories.
