wow, unnecessary retaliation. I understand why u are angry but calm down and think before you post. One reason i like this forum compared to all others is because it is a bunch of great people who focus on helping and sharing with eachother instead of fighting and being arrogant.

Now that touching speech is over i will end by adding that both bikes are great examples and guitargeeks bike is nowhere near a P.O.S., it is a fine example of hardwork and skill. One of my favorite cafe bikes on the site

if you don't like some thing keep it to your self, to each their own. there all types of bikes on this site, i have a stock unrestored 1973 with 32 original miles on it not 32000, i also have a hillclimber , a stock 81 1000j that is rough but it will be coming back to life, i have 2 drag bikes both 1975 z1-b's,i have 2 1974 z1-a's that are highly modified and two 77-8 1000's all the bikes that i have modified were basket case's so i think if i hadn't done something with them they would be gone to bike heaven by now. besides you know what they are my bikes i can do what i want with them and so can't any body else if they own it . you might not like something that is up to you but personally there are things i like about every bike no mater what it is, if this is a restoration site only i guess i've come to the wrong place. i assumed that this site was for kz's was i wrong. i was under the assumption that if you had a kz of any size or type you were welcome i guess i was wrong. i've seen almost every thing in the gallery so i guess that's what confused me. i like bikes that have been restored ,i know how hard that is to do having done it before, i also know how hard it is to modify and make improvement's to an exsisting bike also having done it before as well.that is enough for my rant for now .as far as i'm concerned if you own a kz or would like to welcome aboard brother, greetings from the dark side.

Hey airplanechirp, I got your email. I'm not going to post it here because a lot of other members get offended when they read things like what you called me.

First of all, what I posted was my opinion. You asked for it, I gave it. If you don't like it, don't ask for it.

Second: Yes, I wear a helmet and leather, does that make me less manly than you or something? I've been riding 33 years and I've had a few get-offs. I've learned that gear will save your life... but only if you wear it. Go ahead and ride without a helmet, it'll be natural selection in action.

Third: Yeah, my paint came out of a rattle can. So? Did you pay a lot for the paint on your bike? Am I supposed to be impressed or something?

Forth: Do you think that lowering your bike is all it takes to make it handle better? If that's true, why don't we see more bikes like yours in racing? Motorcycle designers utilize concepts like suspension for good reason.

Seriously, dude, grow up. If you don't like the answer, don't ask the question.

This is not the type of site where anything goes. We have little arguments now and then but it rarely gets out of control. I belong to other sites where you can say what you want and bash whoever you want. If you feel the need to bash someone else's bike then maybe you should go to one of "those" forums where that behavior is acceptable. BTW I'm not into the chop's but everyone has an opinion.

Seems like, although everyone is welcome here, some don't really "belong" here. What's always amazed me about KZR is how open-minded the guys here are. We like bikes! There are a lot of stylistic differences, and that is one of the things that make this site so rich. If you agree with my concepts I'll make it my business to discuss them with you. But, if you don't, it's none of my business, unless I ask for your opinion.

Check this out: "I know there are some out there who don't like what I'm doing. So I'll bait them. As soon as they say something I can take exception to, I'll blast them. And that will make me feel superior somehow.";)

Yeah, you hit it on the head; nobody here has ever been a total dick to me and my ideas aren't anybody's version of main stream. I'm anti-chopper, but pro-people; to wit: I actually enjoy watching 'American Chopper' and it sure ain't for the bikes!

If you notice: this guy posts three different threads with photos of his bike. The first two didn't get response one; so third-time being the charm he decides to stir the pot.

He got the respect that we give everybody; the fact that he was willing to shoot some BS hate-mail to guitargeek shows that he's probably a 16 year old who just finished his 'shop' project and wants the world to acknowledge his monumental skill set. No big deal that he wants a little recognition for his accomplishment; but taking a shot (with email, too!!!) at one of us ... well, that's weak.

Closing: guitargeek: dude, nothin' but love for you and your way-cool bike...seriously. New guy (what...'air chirp' or something?), for my money: you can still hang, just be more mature...and don't take shots at ANY of us.
