I'd test it for shorts on the bike against the case and voltage on each leg. I got 80+VAC

I would also suggest pulling the generator and checking it hasn't taken the stator with it, wouldn't want to cook a new RR
Yeah, done that. .4 ohms between each wires and no shorts to ground so looks ok

Whats the best way to ensure the SH775 RR is genuine and not a knowck off?
I saw this one marked sh775 but i figure it would be easy to add this on counterfeit items

  1.
  2. I saw some earlier posts on another model about reg/rec, OEM is stupid money and i gues old technology, what are the recomendations for a modern replacement reg/rec?
  3. And the biggest problem, anyone know where I can source a replacement main loom or get one cost effectively made?

Any help appreciated
Adrian
London

Give me some days, i know i have several spare GPZ 1100 wiring looms and R/R´s in my shed.
Top man, that would be fantastic!
So here is the best wiring loom i can offer. The R/R have one molten spate connector but should work and the stator looks like is shorted/burned insulation (both parts for free).
Asking 50 € plus 16 € shipping to London.

Hi Scirocco, really appreciate you taking time to send pics, thanks so much! Seems to be a lot of differences between your loom and mine, I think it would require a bit of work to make it fit so Im going to first try to repair mine.
My bike is a UK 1981 gpz1100b1 so not sure if yours came from a different market/model, I think I saw on cmsnl parts list there were 2 different looms - 260011354 and 260011366
Ill come back to you if it doesnt work out!
BTW, would you have an ignition lock for sale?

I bought some connectors and pins on eBay. They came from UK and were cheap even with shipping.
