Wookie58... That sure clears up a lot. I believe I have some similar issues. I will take a look at that match up tonight when I get home ... if I can ever get out of this office. I have three employees out sick today and Tomorrow isn't looking much better.

At work. I did find pictures of the battery box and relay bracket on my ‘76 Kz900 and it has a double female 4.9mm on the white. I’ll look at my ‘78B2 when I get home.

HaHa... Addiction is an understatement... This is bike #11 that I have built over the last 20-25 years... All Z1 or KZ..900-1000. Raced some... showed most. Sold most. I still have my original 1975 Z1... this bike the 1978 you have helped me with the wiring has a special place in my heart. My best friend lost his life on it a few years ago. I decided to buy it and restore it in a way that him and I talked about. He and I built almost all of them together... He was a auto body and paint guy. And he painted all of mine. Last year I decided to tear into it . Almost ready to fire it.

This is why I was asking if it had a double female plug coming off the positive battery cable. Looks like I will have an extra wire without it.

I dug up an LTD schematic. There is a double female bullet connector on the battery positive. One is to the 20 amp main fuse and the other is to the rectifier bridge.

EDIT. That condition is consistent with the kz1000 models A1,A2,B1,B2 and the D1.

I mean I could cut one off an old harness ...but that would be cheesy and I do not do that kind of work( and someone may need it in the future).. In fact after putting this wiring together I just realized the only wire or electrical wires and componets that I have not replaced new is the fuse box (besides regulater solonoid and rec all tested perfect)... so i will order a new fuse box in the morning.
