I feel your pain but remember what pays for your "Z" addictionWookie58... That sure clears up a lot. I believe I have some similar issues. I will take a look at that match up tonight when I get home ... if I can ever get out of this office. I have three employees out sick today and Tomorrow isn't looking much better.

HaHa... Addiction is an understatement... This is bike #11 that I have built over the last 20-25 years... All Z1 or KZ..900-1000. Raced some... showed most. Sold most. I still have my original 1975 Z1... this bike the 1978 you have helped me with the wiring has a special place in my heart. My best friend lost his life on it a few years ago. I decided to buy it and restore it in a way that him and I talked about. He and I built almost all of them together... He was a auto body and paint guy. And he painted all of mine. Last year I decided to tear into it . Almost ready to fire it.

EDIT. That condition is consistent with the kz1000 models A1,A2,B1,B2 and the D1.
