If no power, trace back the wire/circuit until you have found power.
Here is the C2/B2 wiring diagram:

Slick will wrote: I have a 78 kz650 im having alot of problems trying to get this bike to start I have tested the coils and wires come back good new spark plugs, gaped the points and cleaned them. A rewired kill switch and found out I'm not getting power to the kill switch out of the wire and I replace all 3 fuses and both flashers and still can't get no power to it anyone have any ideas
Based on the wiring diagram, there are two connectors between the ignition key switch and your kill switch. Both connectors have the source 12vdc, brown wire running through them.
Use your multimeter and trace your source 12vdc back through these connectors. Closest connector to kill switch is a single for brown wire only (per the diagram), closest to the ignition looks to be a molex type connector with 6 wires through it.
If you can test this molex type connector on the input side to confirm 12vdc present, then you'll know if one of the two connectors in series is bad or if you have a key-ignition problem.
