Take off the gas tank and spray with WD40. Thats what its meant for. Water Dispersal
Also possible water on the points and stuff under the points cover if the gasket is bad and particularly if you used a hose . Check under the points cover
I used to live and ride in Ireland where it rains 12 months a year

I know little about the 750 twin so hopefully others more knowledgeable will be around soon. I dont know if you have 1 set of points or 2. Also dont know if you have one coil or 2.
To check if a coil(s) is getting power you will need a multimeter.
Remove the gas tank.
The coil or coils will have 2 wires one of which will probably be red
Turn the ignition key to ON. Dont start.
Set the multimeter at the DC 20 volts range
Touch the positive probe of the multimeter to the red wire at the coil and the negative probe to the frame of the bike and you should see 12 vots. Should be the same or almost the same as connecting to the pos and neg terminals of the battery.
do you have a manual ?
Good luck
PS Nice bike

Uhhh no...
In 1953, a fledgling company called Rocket Chemical Company and its staff of three set out to create a line of rust-prevention solvents and degreasers for use in the aerospace industry.
Working in a small lab in San Diego, California, it took them 40 attempts to get the water displacing formula worked out. But they must have been really good, because the original secret formula for WD-40® -which stands for Water Displacement perfected on the 40th try—is still in use today.
Convair, an aerospace contractor, first used WD-40® to protect the outer skin of the Atlas Missile from rust and corrosion. The product actually worked so well that several employees snuck some WD-40® cans out of the plant to use at home.
