Headlight conversion HID? Halogen?

I order them in lots of 24 from an overseas manufacturer. They are clear lens with a faceted mirror and designed with a specific dispersion pattern for me.

If they are the round 7" ones for a Z1/KZ, would you consider parting with one in about a month???

Sure, I also make complete kits with everything you need including the hi-voltage extension cable to put the ballast under the seat.

Hello all - first post!

I was wondering if there is a contact or url that I can check out regarding the kit with extended wiring for underseat installation. Very Interested. I just procured a 75 Z1B Turbo bike that I would like to bring into this century technologically in some respects and this is one area I would like to address. I sent our man a PM, but he may not see these that frequently so figgured I would ask the congregation if I missed a link to a site or ??? that sells otakar's kits!!!

Please do not mistake LED for HID. They are two completely deferent things.There are some LED systems around, I believe BMW has them available in some of their top of the line sedans as an option.

I think he means extended leads to the bulb from the ballast so that he can mount the ballast under the seat. Could be wrong though.

(I just didn't see anything about LED's in his post)

We had those in Iraq and they were horrible. They looked cool but only worked on high-beam. Of course I had 16 lights on my truck. We had a route clearance light kit. We also had some super bright lights from KC that could shine miles. You could not drive at is with those lights on. Awe the good ole days.

Anyways, I was unimpressed with the LED headlights.

I think that BMW has had some problems with them also. I am not sure if they still offer them on their hi end cars.

For the HID you have to make sure that your Battery, alternator, regulator , and rectifier are in good working condition. If there is too much voltage deviation or the current is not properly rectified the ballast will shut itself off.

@otakar - Just because she breaks down every other day doesn't mean that when does show up she doesn't put in work. Grin.

I will get a voltmeter and check to see. I am thinking of just running it direct from the battery to the headlight and avoiding the whole problem. Maybe through an inline fuse in it.

Can I get a price and time for a 7" HID kit from you.
