With the idle screw all the way out they should be completely closed- then wind the idle screw in to open the carb it acts on and complete a static sync on the other three - wind the idle screw back out and check they are closed- now when you adjust the idle screw it will open them all slightly which will allow it idle

Snicker do what Wookie says. The peeps in this thread got me from idling at 6K!!!!!!!!!!

As mentioned by Wookie earlier: hold the carbs up to the light with the idle screw backed off, and make sure there is no light showing around the butterflies. Adjust as needed, including the bench sync.
