I'm not sure about back in the Z1 days, but with the later year KZ bikes, the hardware comes in four head markings: unmarked, 4, 7, 9, from weakest to strongest.

Sorry for the thread drift, but the hardware subject got me going...

I've been doing spring cleaning in the garage.  Since I'm retired and have all the time in the world, I've been going through my hardware storage and organizing.  Started with the general-purpose stuff and bulk construction hardware.  Next, a large bin filled with used UJM hardware, at least 50 LB worth.  Got it sorted into small screws, large screws, nuts and washers, and misc.  Honestly, I can't remember the last time I actually used any of this stuff.  The screws in particular are overstocked, since there are dozens of the same size.  I hate to just throw it all away, though.  I've got a plastic storage bin with drawers, weight-limited, so I'll fill this up and look for the metal monger to take the rest.  

That's every thread he replies to ... he flips out on some unrelated or imaginary tangent then he gets called on it then he feigns ignorance about what his own replies are about. "Save some of that green beer ..."

That's interesting? Perhaps i was adding to something you already knew the answers too? Intolerance of opposing opinions sweeps these forums dry of the intent. Apparently you are satisfied with your dependance on internal validation, so why broach or task yourself with asking to start with?? You are a tough bird chopper, Have a Glorious Day.
