Where to buy high quality float bowl screws? Stainless, nickle, etc ...

I'd like to buy a pound or more of new float bowl screws (M4?) in different lengths. I'd like to have them in plain, stainless and nickle plated. Phillips head only.

Anyone know where to get them?

Little Supply House sells zinc plated cross-point screws with a captive lock washer, like OEM, but not quite as good.  Z1 also sells the same, but they have a smaller selection.

I've been pleased with the hardware at ACE Hardware. Probably not as cheap as some online places, but I like being able to walk in, grab just what I want, and get on with my life. I also get a free bag of popcorn......

A sampling of what i get from KM Carb Chopper and why i buy from him. I suppose it depends on what you're going for, original or "whatever fits" though? Note, especially when it comes to Stainless Steel replacements. Often the  threads are "cut" not rolled. The cut, cheap versions, are hard on the casting material of these machines regardless where they are used. Box store generic versions are nowadays usually found in the Bind/Cheesehead versions meaning the heads of screws are too big to fit the clearances of covers. Kurt also supplies me with the impossible to find these days, unmarked head proper bolts. He has them in captured washer or plain versions. He also carries Black Zinc coating, not the cheap Black Oxide that rusts immediately that the Box Hardware stores sell. I restore these Kawasaki's Chopper, not just haphazardly reassemble them with whatever is laying around. No one i hang with would accept that ha. These shown are Clear Zinc coated, he has "some" Yellow Zinc too. Yellow Zinc was mainly used on electrical components and some carb locations        A few pics to help. Clay

We've bought Z1 float bowl screws from Fastenal.  Indistinguishable from what comes from Mama Kaw.

Wow Clay, take the cotton wool off of it and say what you really think   I agree for a "restoration" at the level you work to but for everything else - 99.9% of my fasteners are stainless (with anti-seize) but I'd like to think it isn't "haphazardly" reassembled !!

Hey Jim i left You a PM to call me, i can fix-you up or send you in the right direction. Wookie, upholstery shed ha. I was just referring to those Chinese rough die cut SS engine screw kits (often allen) touted on ebay. The lowest grade of hardware produced. And Jim, yes, the 3/4 and some   5mm threaded phillips screws are generally acceptable. I have a Fastenal supplier that comes by every month to restock my neighbor across the street. It's the M6 and up where they started selling the Bigger headed (cheesehead) screws, picture shown. These are what you get at the Box stores/Amazon etc. When used for case covers the head is bigger then the casing. Fitment is poor unless you grind down diameter of head or jam them in messing up the case material. You do Top-Notch work Wookie!! Info was for those poor souls that wouldn't have a clue till they bought or brought it home only then to find out.
