The ones from Niche fit the VM22,24,26,28 and smooth bores.
They are genuine Mikuni but reproduced for the Japanese market and in particular the classic kawasaki race series and don't have viton seals so are not ethanol fuel resistant  ( which is the case with all pattern plungers ) which is fine if you have the option of running ethanol free fuel but won't last long if you don't.
The majority of fuel on Japanese forecourts is ethanol free except the option of around 2% at one pump which apparently isn't popular.

The plunger seals are not 'O' rings.
They are flat lathe spun discs and not available as a seperate part.
The ones i fit are custom made by myself to the exact dimensions of the originals from 75 shore viton to fit each individual plunger.
The VM/SS (16016-021 plunger type ) blanks are 2mm thick with 2mm hole and 7.4 mm diameter with a 40 degree chamfer on the perimeter of one face to conform to the underside of the plungers swaged brass retaining edge.

There was no obvious difference between the new ones or the old ones.

I changed mine for GP. Didn't make any noticeable difference. The ones in there were still working but having new ones allowed me to rule out one more thing then move on.
