Going through the tutorial now, thanks for sharing. I suspect it might be the Run switch, but we'll see, will post an update once I figure it out.

Solved the electrical issue, it's cranking again now, but I have a new problem. The intake manifold boots I purchased for the ZN700 (part number 16065-1132) don't match the ZL750 Eliminator carbs (should have checked this much earlier, but here we are)
Following the post on the other forum linked earlier, I see that Pablo is using different intake boots for his 650, they are pointed to the sides and the part number seems to be 16065-1257, picture attached.
I can't find the inner dimensions on these, so the question is, are they going to fit the ZN700 instead of part number 16065-1132?

So I ended up buying these boots (16065-1257) to see if they will fit the CVK carbs. To my disappointment, they don't.
They fit well on the engine side, but on the carb side when I align them, intake #2 is about a 1/4" higher than the carb, picture below.
I also had to swap the order, looking at the 650 forum, Pablo had the curved boots on #1 and #4, but I had to put the curved ones at #1 and #2, otherwise they are misaligned.
I am wondering if I can split the carbs and mount them on a different rail to be able to adjust the spacing? This obviously doesn't work and I see no other way to install CVK carbs on a ZN700.

Member Daftrusty may be able to help. He put ZX600 carbs (or something similar) on his 750. He's very knowledgeable.

Looks like you need four different carb boots (ZR750 Zephyr, ZR7) to get the correct spacing:
cyl.1 = 16065-1256
cyl.2 = 16065-1257
cyl.3 = 16065-1258
cyl.4 = 16065-1259
cyl.1 = 16065-1256
cyl.2 = 16065-1257
cyl.3 = 16065-1258
cyl.4 = 16065-1259

Well, that's actually the one I have (didn't notice they are 4 different part numbers).
They align well(except for carb #2), but the other issue is the outer diameter on the carbs is 42mm, while the inner diameter on the boots is 36mm, I am pretty sure they are not designed for these CVK carbs.

Yes, the carb to engine manifolds have four different part numbers for the ZR7/S.
I used the ones in the picture to fit the ZX600 carbs to my KZ650, same as what Pablo used to fit the ZR7 carbs to his Z650.

Then the carbs must be a different dimension, maybe I need ZX600 carbs instead.
