Fuel Issue??

If you certain the needles and seat are good and correct it can only be floats. Drop the floats in a bowl of hot water and give them a slight squeeze, like checking for a punture in an inner tube. If they are the old brass type floats I have seen lots that have hair line cracks in and dont really "float". Assuming they are not punctured it really only leaves the float tangs being way out and you'll need to do a wet level test to determine that.

The website I linked to shows how to get a bench-settable rough estimate of the float level while dry and open.HNewDawnKZ550LTD wrote: AWSOME! Gonna test the floats in the water tonight then the level check tomorrow. Will post results tomorrow evening.
Thanks again!!!
(And of course water is only for looking for leaks... the final level is set with fuel since water has a different density.)

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Thats a good shout, also make sure the floats are 90 deg to the hinge bar and not catching the bowl sides.hardrockminer wrote: I had a similar problem last year with my wife's bike. Turns out the floats were sticking on the side of the carb gasket. I've had this happen on my Z1 as well.

So I am guessing if I have the both the float bowl vents capped off then that would cause my overflow issue out of that jet am I correct? ??
Feeling like a noob..........lol
