If the needles are adjustable you just move the clip down to richen it through the RPM range or up to lean it out.

I would shim the needles. Check my tk22 site on how to do it properly with shimming the slide holder with wire.
Usually you don't need to go a full clip position if you compensate with mains and pilots. So you can still use stock needles.
