Just found an open side shot of the float system. That explains it somewhat.

Pretty close to as you described, a set of CV carbs turned 90 degrees. I'd be interested in the inner float bowl working to see how they handle the fuel level and Jetting structure. Seems there would have to be a 90 degree flow of fuel as the fuel in the bowl will be straight level, main jet etc would still have to be low in the fuel level.

Just saw your picture post. You can see the wells that carry the fuel up, main jet is low down in the fuel. I believe the picture is upside down, or downside up. :P

Yeah I noticed that they have the carbs upside down. Still pretty cool. I bet most people didn't know these were like that.

Yea, looks like the Fuel Wells bolt on with 2 screws. I wonder if those are another carb body modified for the fitment on the V Max?

badrhino wrote: I think you better learn what horizontal and vertical mean. Vertical is how the carbs on a KZ or any other inline are mounted. Horizontal is sideways laying flat.

The air runs through my carb (BS34, KZ1100) along a horizontal line. It has an attachment at the left end and at the right end. Therefore the carb is mounted horizontally. Sidedraft carbs are horizontal, downdraft carbs are vertical.
How do you feel about that? Do you have a better reference, preferably something related to the subject field?
