Not sure what happened, but I tried the carbs today and all 4 are pumping. Must have been the carb fairy's. As far as using suzuki parts., I'm fine with a set of carbs but would draw a line at using another brand of tank or engine. besides, the carbs were £80 as opposed to £300-£400 for vm29's (which I'd prefer). Mind you, they dont look as good as the old vm26's they're replacing. simon.

Hello, all the rebuild kits I've seen have had 127.5 for the mains, perhaps these were used on the 1100's as I think they had the same carbs on some models. It's revving like a 2 stroke with the 120's in. I held back at 8000rpm but it's as if it's gonna rev off the clock until the engine pops. Mind you the gearing isn't helping (15 front, 40 rear) which would be fine If I'd changed the rear wheel to an 18". However I adapted a chain drive hub onto the 17" shafty rear wheel as I'd just bought a new tyre. Back to my carbs.. Do you know what the screws on the front sides towards thehead rubbers are for ? Thank you. simon.

One of my friends thought the same. The more I read about these carbs the more I hear about the idle setting problems. Apparently they were used on gsxr-r versions which was a ready for the track model where the tach started at 3000rpm on the dial. cheers. simon.
