crackfox1 wrote: Hello, I've just joined the group and would welcome jetting advise from anyone running tm33 flat slides on their kz1000. I've aquired a set off of ebay from an english gsxr750 from around 88 or 89. however their not performing as they should. Apart from the first carb from the left being totally blocked (due to the choke slide being broken and jammed on full choke) I've just noticed they're running 97.5 main jets. (30 below stock). I'm waiting to find out what bike these were actually used on last. Well to get to the point. I've fitted these to a de-shafted 79 z1000st (english) with a standard bore size 1015cc with a ported head to suit these carbs. Could anyone recommend what main jet's I should use for this application ? i've heard that the stock 127.5 could be too large for street use as they'd regularly choke-up in traffic on the late eighties gsxr's they were intended for. Thank you. simon. newcastle upon tyne, england.
I'd start right there with the 127.5 and see how you make out. Better a little fat than lean

I would first introduce them to your KAWASAKI gently
Make sure that the KAWASAKI dosent just look at them and say
"Do I really wanna make a suzuki fart?"
I remeber being on a hunting trip
I rode my old KAWASAKI to the tree stand
Just as I was about to shoot a 12 point buck
I saw something out of the corner of my eye
It was my KAWASAKI killibg a family of young suzukis
Anyway I let the buck go and observed the natural order of life
