I hope that when you said that the screws are stripped, you meant the Philips heads. There are no jets in that section. All fuel jets are in the float bole. Remove the Idle screws at the rear top and remove the boles. Than clean everything out.

Ok i have got it! 120 is the main jet, and the pilot jet is 47.5 I cant get the needle jet out...any advice on how to do that...and where to go from there...and btw...my carbs look like crap inside, so running poorly would have been what i would have expected..

Should i try adjusting my carbs after cleaning or should i just go and get new jets...

clean them up real good then give it a try and see if it changes any, this all started after you cut the pipes right? get a set of 135 mains like has been suggested and give them a try see if it gets better or worse then adjust from there jets are real cheap most decent bike shops will have them in stock or can get them overnight.

if you can see thru them when your done cleaning them they should be ok. hold them up to the light after you blow them out and make sure the jet is clear and round inside. the carb's are bs34 mikuni's

I am considering drilling out the Primary Main Jets on my 1982 KZ305-B1 CSR Belt because I have been only able to locate the stock #62 Primary Main jets (92063-1070). I ordered some stock jets in case I bugger up these when drilling them. They are only available from Kawasaki as far as I know. They are $7 each.

I was able to locate some larger Secondary Main Jets than the #85 stock jets (92063-1023). The online source said they should be here about 3 July. I have 90, 92 and 95 coming. These jets are available and cost $8 for a set of four. I only need two, so therefore I will have spares.

The engine will not run off idle without the choke set halfway. It runs fine in that condition.

Two things that may be driving the jetting issue are: 1) E10 is the only pump gas available in Washington. Race gas is available at the bike shop for $10.99 a gallon. 2) I have been unable to get an air filter or filter housing. The filter element is supposed to be here 3 July, but I have not found a filter cap (11012-1103). If someone could help me out here, I would appreciate it.

The decision to drill the jets is based on three facts:
1) the supposedly correct main jet parts are two weeks away, 2) I know the engine is running lean right off idle, and 3) I want to ride for the next two weeks without the choke being set.

The way I figure it, I will need to rejet the carbs when the air filter arrives at the same time as the larger jets, therefore the drilled jets are a temporary measure.

I have seen carb jetting charts like shown below. Where do I get one for the CV32 that came on my KZ305 that has two (primary and secondary) main jets and no throttle slide cutaway as shown in the image? The entire off idle mixture is too lean, therefore I believe I need to increase the size of both main jets about two or three sizes (based on rejetting my snowmobiles for E10.)

Summary:
-Is there a second source for larger Primary Main Jets?
-Does anyone need some #90,92 and 95 main jets? I will have a couple spares of each.
-Does the temporary lack of an air filter cause the engine to run too rich or too lean?
-Who may be able to send me a filter cap?
-How many jet sizes do I need to go up when rejetting a four stroke for E10?
-How much do the primary and secondary main jets affect the mixture at the various throttle positions?
