Gunson Color Tune AVI Clip....

Could have been faster but I wasn't in a rush and wanted to see for myself the color changes as I adjusted my pilots....
One thing I noticed after the pilot adjustments is that I gained about 2" of vacuum pull that can be seen in the video... Sweet!
Here's a small clip where you can see the color change from Yellow (rich) to Bunson Burner Blue(ideal adjustment)...
In this clip, you can see where the vacuum has increased and in the volume you can hear how much better/smoother the motor idles.
NOTE: Still have to finalize the carb synch, still slightly off as can be reviewed by the gauges.
I'll continue this with a final clip once the Morgan arrives and is completed....

Once I Morgan synch, I want to go through the pilot adjustment one more time. In reading the literature, you want to adjust just where the flame goes from yellow to blue. It's stated at this point your still a little on the rich side compared to being lean. Then I'll keep an eye on the plug color to obtain that nice tanned brown color....
Obviously this has me a little spooked due to a brand new motor where I'd rather be on the rich side for now....
Anyhoot, nice tool, made one hell of a difference to a carb noob as myself.... hlol

didn't go to big with them which is a common mistake some people think if some is good, lot's is better not always
Most definitely....I'm totally with you there brother
While doing my carb research on what I had in mind for performance, throttle response, driving patterns and in considering my age & riding style, I didn't need to go any larger.
In speaking with Larry C and Buzz over at Dynoman.... After stating the above mentioned variables, especially age and riding style they both stated the exact same thing.... Whoa talk about being spooky... Almost exact word for word replies... And now you say the same where these 29mm where the ideal choice....
As mentioned many times now, don't care if I'm off the line first for not drag racing this bike nor do I care if I gain an extra 10mph on the high range for at my age, I just don't see myself going over 120mph.
Too much to loose to be so reckless at this phase of life...
With my choice of piston kit (1015cc), camshaft (.365) and carb selection (29mm), I will have an extremely strong running motor with exceptional low to mid range response and performance, just where I want it....

Always wanted to see one of those in action...
Wonder if it can be used to tune at high/higher throttle positions?..?
Cheers
