Yes there is something wrong. It's brand new and all I did was enlarged the hole in the fuel tank and then mount it. The petcock has not been taken apart at all. I tried different lever positions but you are right I'll pull the fuel line when I get a chance and observe what it does in the different positions.

If not already done, would assure that the Off and Reserve positions are not being mixed up by mistake. Thinking the petcock may be left in Reserve when thought to be Off while parked overnight..

Good Luck! :)

It's not mixed up at all. I pulled the line and observed the results of the 3 different positions and it worked as marked except in the off position it keeps dripping. With closer inspection I noticed a small black piece of debris in the fuel line entering the in-line filter. With suspicion I drained the tank and took the pingel petcock apart and lo and behold the rubber seal has a piece missing. It was torn and that's the piece in the fuel line. That explained why it's dripping in the off position as it wasn't sealing properly. I'll call Z1 enterprise in the morning.

good find... I bought one of the Z1 petcocks for my H2 last year and it works perfectly. WHen its off, its OFF. no leaking or dripping. I hate my garage smelling like gas

You're lucky. I talked to a Z1 rep this morning and he said there is a batch of the petcock with the seal not seated properly. Nevertheless he's rushing me a new seal. Bad thing is i smell gas in the oil so now i have to change out the oil and filter.
