carb help?

carb help?

i just cleaned out my carbs, and removed the airbox, but my idle is way to high, about 5500 rpm. the idle screw is backed all the way out, and i cant find any loose hoses, anyone have any ideas?

What sort of carbs are they? Convenional slide or diagphram?

With engine running, could spray propane gas, WD40, or starting fluid, around the intake manifolds. A leak will usually suck in enough spray to cause a noticable difference in rpm. This should help diagnose whether there's a leaking intake manifold (torn or cracked) or maybe just a loose or ill-fitting clamp.

i would say that the clamp from cylinder rubber number 3 is stopping your butterfly s on the carb from shutting
