Something interesting has happened.
During the January auction none of the six Z2 met reserve, they all sold after the auction ended.
The Z2 is worth more in Japan then usa, someone bought them and sent them to Japan.
The 1977 Z2 bid to $18 in the auction then sold for $33k

Thank you, that is useful info. The Z2A currently on EBay was not one of this batch...and may have influence the seller to initially list his for $33,000 and then drop it to $30,000.

That is pretty wild when you consider that buyers in Japan will also have to cover shipping, tariffs, taxes and the seller's markup.

It also looks like the eBay seller needs to find a Japanese buyer.

There are three outfits in California that buy on usa ebay and ship containers to Japan, they know what will sell in Japan.
I have sold parts to all three outfits, they outbid everyone else.
I do not know who bought the auction Z2 bikes, one of these outfits or someone in Japan with deep pockets.
