Thanks guys. I've used it a couple times already, and I can't believe I've been working on carbs for so many years, the hard way... balanced on some scrap wood.

I usually just lay a towel in and lightly clamp with my bench vise, it turns and swivels, but that is a pretty good idea.

I also use oderless mineral spirits instead of gas for setting levels. Not so smelly or explosive! Similar specific gravity.

Plus won't take your back out picking up the jig... :pinch:

Add a rotational front plate that can lock into position for upside down work where you don't have to remove & re-mount and you just hit the ball out of the park....

E-bay that sonsabitch built design no doubt... ;) B)

The timing of this thread was perfect, I had been meaning to change my intake boots for close to a year AND I have been wanting to make a nice carb workstand for quite some time.

I dug some aluminum stock out of the scrap heap of my local metal supply shop, measured and drilled, and dropped it off at my welders.

Viola!

That is awesome! It almost makes you want to leave the carbs on the stand, instead of on the bike! B)
