Well, never got to order the time-serts, I found a deal on Ebay and bought a new head (and got a free set of jugs to boot), that brought it's own issues. I bought an emissions style head when I had a non emissions bike (didn't pay attention to this in the photos). Got it all together and running though. I may buy some time serts and do the original head at my convenience. Maybe work on port/polish at leisure as well. Thanks for the information, since I will need to repair the original head in order to use it again.

With regard to wrenches, Steel once explained how to calibrate one yourself. I tried his method on mine which is an ex Royal Navy piece of kit and goes up to 120 inch. Had the thing checked by a toolmaker and it was spot on.
