It's not the head gasket it's the O-rings they want $15 a piece four of them 60 bucks is ridiculous the leak I originally had was from the O-ring around the timing chain it was leaking out the front I got on a new gaskets but they didn't come with it cuz I'm Z100 Enterprise it says it does not include them for O-rings and I guess that gets in the crazy opportunity to sell them for $15 a piece I'll look into it tomorrow I'll find them but I'm going to look at my I got an o-ring set I'm going to see if I have any I just thought somebody might have an idea where to get them at a reasonable price

I believe you're talking about the o-rings that go over the outer 4 cylinder studs? They Are critical because they seal off the oiling passages that ARE where the outer 4 cylinder studs go thru. I believe the correct part number is 92055-1148. Regardless of source you want the oring to sit snugly within that cavity cutout in cylinder and still sit slightly higher above loosely installed headgasket, this allows for compression seating when you bolt the head down. While a "nice" fit in the cavity is step one you don't want a CS or thickness that when compressed will cut-off oil flow around those 4 studs. Most OEM head gaskets for these are around .040" ish. Don't know if you're using OEM or aftermarket though? And Yes, i believe they are more of a Black Viton then a Buna material for that higher temp environment. Don't skip replacing these, you'll be sorry if you do! One original oil leak will become 4, ha.

And a note to broaden your parts buying horizons, Z1Enterprises isn't the only source of parts for these! Just checked ebay for the same part, plenty available from many vendors.

Re: Took top off
09 Nov 2025 05:40I appreciate that, however since a head gasket isn't "re-usable" if they leak you will need to pull the head to rectify. Personally I have chosen to bite the bullet on gaskets and seals for my build because I just want the hassle later from saving a little bit of money. Just my personal choiceIt's not the head gasket it's the O-rings they want $15 a piece four of them 60 bucks is ridiculous the leak I originally had was from the O-ring around the timing chain it was leaking out the front I got on a new gaskets but they didn't come with it cuz I'm Z100 Enterprise it says it does not include them for O-rings and I guess that gets in the crazy opportunity to sell them for $15 a piece I'll look into it tomorrow I'll find them but I'm going to look at my I got an o-ring set I'm going to see if I have any I just thought somebody might have an idea where to get them at a reasonable price

Okay I been the bullet I was going to do it anyway but it was a hard pill to swallow $75 with shipping over it for O-rings from Z1 I went with Partzilla for the 92055-1148 four of them for 55 which included shipping say 20 bucks so now when they arrive every time they put the engine back together and when it's done cross and hope and pray that everything is fine I'm going to do everything to work back and the order they want them to work I'm going to do everything right what thank you guys I'll upload a picture of video when it's done
