Should have at least installed valve stem seals. Hope you checked the valve clearance...

I’m calling BS on this one.
August 8 post. Broken bolt, drilled out and thinks he can save it.

August 10 post. Couldn’t remember what his own post was about.

August 10 post tried to post video of bike running to share issues with carb.

August 10 problem fixed. Helicoil installed and life is good.

August 14 again helicoil in and torqued up. No mention of getting new head.

August 17. Suprize new head in hand and installed in amazing time. Post, it’s together and runnig better then ever, opps edit that post and Post a picture of a bike that is missing exhaust, carbs, wiring is all hacked up, no gauges, no front or rear wheel, and missing tank but “ I believe it runs super”. No mention of the carb problem from the confused post on August 10. “What am i missing here guys? I am pretty sure its a carb issue. I have pods with 15 slow jet and 110 main. Think maybe its too big main?”

I’m not buying it!

And the carb is still there but if memory seves me correct i was told that maybe i should start a new post about that
Which i prolly wont because it is a jet issue so i will start coming down in size from 110 til i get it right

And the answer to my question about interchangeability of a 80 head to 81
The 2 bolts down in the cam chain tunnel on a 80 is 6mm and on 81 it is 8mm
So i had to inlarge the hole on the head that i put on to fit the 8mm bolts
Also if you buy the head then you might as well get the valve cover also
All the bolts line up except one
It is either the very center under the frame front or back
I chose to leave the back one out til i get a cover
Which it hasnt leaked yet

I owe you an apology. I'm sorry I misinterpreted your post. It just didn't seem truthful. But that's on me. Thank you.

Thank you
But no need for apologies
My post are confusing
One subject to another and then back
Then the photo of a bike in peices
Then its running again in a matter of a week or two ( which i have been at this bike for a few months now)
I had it running before but wanted to check valves because of a backfire through carb issue
That when the bolt broke and i joined here
First project bike and certainly wont be my last so i wanted other veiws on my issues
Thanks everyone

Might not have needed one but you got one. I just wish you had added blue shop towels in your first picture, it would have been obvious your a serious mechanic.
