No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configuration

Steve, I am surprised that the Doremi valves are that much lighter...and I wonder why. If they are the same length and diameter (hence same volume of metal) then they must be made of an alloy to make them lighter. Then comes the question...is a lighter valve better or worse?? I'm thinking better but I really don't know.

I imagine these are lighter and stronger but would they be worth it on a street bike?

There are other valves but I just wanted something new and affordable to use in this junk head.

Happens so much with used valves. You got to look for the later MarkII smog heads. They used Nitrated valves The one's that looked blackish. Plus the exhaust were 100% 304 stainless steel. I have a nice head I'll finish after Holiday season. Need to paint it black, been sitting like the rest of everything. But I taped it up, then sat and aerosol cans sprayed. Now its covered in a silicone film. got to clean over! Ha! WTF me?
And valve tip should have .020 here is a manual page. And some extra pictures. Funny thing for prices of valves? Buy some Titanium valves for a Z1-KZ Pricey. But for size and material these titanium intakes for the Blower Hemi Gasser are only $180 a piece. A little bigger than a Z.
Plus I tip valves on the lathe of course. I sold a head over a year ago, I tipped them all to bolt in with 260-270 shims. I never take more than .015-.020 of of the tips Just getting carried away here. But work with what you got Steve. Pretend it's a harley put it together and beat the piss out of it!

One drawback about running Ti22 valves in a Kz head is you have to replace the valve seats with a softer material like bronze.

If you don't replace the valve seats, your valve clearance will change dramatically in just a short time of running!!!!

When you pick up a Ti22 valve for the first time, you will not believe how light they really are!!!!!!!!

I hope you realize that the broken cooling fin is going to fall off somewhere in the weeds and get lost Steve. JB weld is some good stuff, but not that good. I have used it to repair pitted master cylinder bores and a plethora of other things in the past, but that is a location / use that it will likely fail rather quickly. Then the fin will be gone for good. Now is the time, no, actually when your first started on the head was the time to get it welded, prior to any machine work . It can still be done. Not trying to urinate in your whole wheat Wheaties, just trying to keep you from making a costly mistake.
