Will Sea Foam dissolve those deposits without damage to the engine?

I've used a spray bottle and spray a mist while it's running. Chunks flew out. I don't now about the other.

Mopar markets a combustion chamber cleaner that is supposedly da bomb. I've not tried it, but guys on a couple of other forums claim they have had good results with it. It is available at CDJ dealers.

Old trick. Raise the RPM and spray a mist while it revs at around 35-4000. RPM's then stop spraying. If you have a cardboard box behind the pipes, you won't believe what kind of crap comes out.

The water is sprayed into the intake. :-)

Keeping the RPMs up ensures the engine will continue to run but the moisture loosens junk that may be stuck inside the chamber. The junk then follows the flow of combustion gases and comes flying out of the exhaust.

You'll want to remove the air filter first, of course.

I've done that a few times.... spraying a water, cleaner and anti freeze mix in the carbs while reving it up.

I like Regane by gumout as a additive ..... my pistons at around a thousand miles look spot less from what I can see by using this I think twice now at the recommended amount........ use it in my car just before each oil change too....heard you can maybe mix a little of your cleaner of choice and wd-40 and shoot a little in the cyl and let soak over night to to speed things up also.

I've seen a youtube video testing various combustion cleaners (using and endoscope to verify). Sea Foam was the only one that produced significant results, although it wasn't much, maybe a good 25% to 50% cleanup.

I thought I'd be able to just look at the tubes last night, but nope, I have to take the tank off again and I didn't have time for that. So upon just a general inspection, looks like the fuel line is going right to cylinder 2, which makes sense if there's a leak at the petcock allowing excess gas through. I only found vacuum tubes on cylinders 1 and 4, and looks like #3 had some kind of cap or plug on it. I'll see if I can get some picture for you tomorrow.

The fuel line will connect BETWEEN carbs 2 and 3. The vacuum line for the petcock goes to carb 2 directly. The line on 1 and 4 is for the breather valve coming off the top of the cam cover.

I just have just two lines going from the petcock to the carbs. One goes in front of the carb, the other behind- I thought they were both fuel lines. I have replaced the line that goes in front with a new fuel line, and I was going to do the same with the one going to the back of the carb but I couldn't get the hose off the carb...so I left that one alone and just put a new clamp on the petcock for that one. For about two weeks I wasn't leaking fuel, until I lifted the tank up to install the heat shielding on the spark plug wires, then it started leaking again, only worse. :pinch:
