First, go bark at someone else, second, I put it in not knowing it had a slightly shorter stroke,(that was in 87 no internet and you were still in diapers) third, when I buy a 900 crank, I can sell the 750 crank and buy more for my bike, maybe even a 1075 kit and sell my 1015 set up to someone that will appreciate it.
Kindly keep your insults and foul attitude to yourself.
Steve
If you'll notice, I didn't call your bike a POS.

You're just jealous. Get a bigger bike. I'll have my piston and gaskets soon. I'll post pics of the deck height and markings on the crank rods. Not to convince you, that I don't care about, just to show what a jerk is.As for light years, in your mind.
I might keep the 750 crank, it does seem to spin faster.

Well I got a good nights sleep. Now back down to it.
This ankle biter has been choosing me off since last year. He seems to be fixated on me. Reminds me of a "school yard bully". I found they are cowards at heart. No matter. I am planning on starting a Poser thread and show the details of my build. I am NOT going to tear down my machine just to show him my 750 crank, that will come in due time. However here's some pics of why I had to buy a used stock 1015 set of barrels and pistons.
This is one of my new billet pistons. The rest are OK
Old cast pistons 1978-2013
New pistons. Notice the date. Z1E sent me one wrong piston. The numbers on the box was right and the rings too. Never found out why.
This after noon after work I'll take more pics of the bored 750 sleeves, all the pistons and other things of interest in my Poser thread.
Even if I still had a 903 crank, I'd blow his doors off (if he had them) and he'd be barking about something else.
It was quick with the 903 crank, I was hoping the 750 would be just a little quicker. We'll see.
I've said you can't spit without hitting a scammer and now you can't go anywhere without bumping into a jerk.
Back to the topic. A oil pressure gauge is a must have. Don't rely on the idiot light like I did. Damn near cost me my motor. The Temp. gauge is just for peace of mind. It will be interesting to see how hot my motor gets this summer when the Temps. are 115 F. I'll be looking for a oil cooler soon.

One I don't know what a z2 crank is or why that has anything to do with engine temp on a 1000 engine...but I don't know so it could. Any want to explain? Anyways...I might put a pressure gauge but they seem to be in too large of increments for this low pressure engine...right? I mean it's at like 3psi? I'm just worried about baking my new cams. The ones I pulled out were ground down. Seems the last guy didn't like oil or he overheated often right?

When I was running a stock motor no oil cooler in Montana on 80°-90° day with 15-40 Rotella, I ran mid 300s also. I used a Trail Tech digital gauge that also used a spark plug for temp readings. My bike did run a little lean also. Sometimes if I really got on it on a hot day it would peg the guage out at 399. I have a feeling the spark plug is not a great place to take a temp reading. I have replace my spark plug set up with an oil temp sensor and an oil pressure guage. I am also running a B&M super cooler and am thinking of running a thermostat to engage the cooler and or a fan. Long story short I think your temps are normal.

Ya I agree it's not a good place right above combustion. I will switch to synth now that I am out of breaking in. First 4 rides (150 mileS) oil change and filter change, then at 500. And now at 1000 with filters changed at each. I think the syth will drop temps and I'll get a pressure gauge somewhere. I have really long lines for the oil cooler so I over fill a little bit. I put four quarts in. Seems to be just about right.

And cruising at 70-80 in 5th (about 6500-7000 rpm cuz I'm geared low on sprockets) I'm at 310) but will shed heat down to 270 at about 40 mph

My bikes always had it easy cause 99% of my riding is between 65 and 85 ......... I'm a big baby when it comes to anything hotter and in the last few years cold really goes right through me too ....
