My opinion is as long u tone ur carbs as close as possible to perfect u should be alright. Do agree on a oil pressure gauge.
I personaly have never used a gauge but have change out the sensor and bulbs with new ones. The way i see it is that if u do loose pressure WHAT will u get your attention first.... your gauge or the RED light on the dash.

I mean I'm not the greatest so I'm going to get it dyno tuned by someone eventually. I read the book that came with my carbs and looked on here for tips. Even had a friend help at the end. It drives great but I know there is more that could be had. Eventually the head will come off for a refresh since it has never been touched apart from my new valves.

Coming home from the market today I averaged 236-245 F at speed. 80 F today. The oil light is undependable. Loose connections whatever, I look at my gauge quite often. The one down by the ignition cover is for a Harley Sportster 60 PSI I got off eBay. The Dorimi gauges turned out to be junk. Best to have both.
The 750 crank does Not have anything to do with this thread. This guy just seems to have a bone for me.
Sorry.

Good man Dobbins - only a little extra work to change that filter
My oil light works perfectly - always has - beauty of being one and only owner
Have you got manometers - piece of piss syncing your carbs ;)
