I'll try that but they are ads from this site.

You do need those washers on the head bolts, but not on the valve cover bolts. The valve cover bolts did not come with washers and mine have never had any oil weepage. Ed

Ed's right, the valve cover is made so the gasket seals the bolt shaft.

I have had that happen in the past - it is probably a bug in your computer. Have your anti-virus program check it out.
Just ran my anti virus and had to restart my computer. Ask was the threat. 2 of them.

I've always just used a 10mm socket or wrench with a dab of anti sieze.

I've never done that. Might have saved some threads that way.

I have a small pot of coppaslip grease and a toothbrush, every stainlss allen bolt gets a smear of anti seize. Stainless in ally is worse for corrosion than high tensile in ally.
Trivia on rounded bolts, if the corners are flatted I dump my Britool spanner and instead use a snap-on flank drive that grips only the flats.

I use a 1/4 inch Torque Wrench ....& also make sure to follow the right tightening sequence, that's in your manual

The allen head bolts fit just fine, look good and lock tight without washers (no washers were there with flange bolts). But if they're not good to use in that spot i'll get new flange bolts.

There is no reason to use lock tight on cylinder head cover bolts. Doing that is only asking for trouble later. Use it ONLY where the torque specs in the Kawasaki Service Manual call for it. There are 24 bolts holding that cover down; believe me, you don't need lock tight to keep it or the bolts from falling off.
If you are using stainless bolts you may want to use some anti-seize to prevent galling, but that is not the same stuff as lock tight. Ed

I didn't mean I used loctite. I meant they "locked tight" without washers.
I've got the manual and will follow all specs. My only last question was whether you thought those allen heads were good or if you thought I ought to stick to the flange bolts. The allen heads seem to work well but the diameter is a slight bit smaller than the flange bolts. If I had a washer to the allen they become the same.

Ed is right. With the small cam cover bolts no washer is needed. You should befinewith the a stainless as long as they each get a dab of anti seize on the threads.
