BENDING AIR was created by nads.com
Air in a runner moving toward the valve seat over shoots the curve,
(keeps going and slams into the far side) mm... how do we configure or shape
the bownls to incourage the air to make the turn (short and long sides both)?

Iv'e got some tricks up my sleeve but,

NO BRIDGE TO BROOKLYN

Why is it always me that asks the hard questions,
1. I'm not asking what you did with jyour girlfriend behind the barn
2. I'm not going to go on and on about it, just tell me how the air bends the corners
3. I'm back in the garage on the grinder

and that's where I wanna be BE! BEE! everyone...clap your heels together and say kz kz kz

and thell throw you out the bar, MAKE IT HAPPEN

LIke a good relax long THOUGHT about long RANGE goal,
or is that a pool shot. I KNEED MY BIKE!!!!!

On the exhaust side you can just port it like a letter D flopped on its back when looking from front, short side moves slower just like a car going around a corner B)

get a turbo and cram the air in there. its kinda like you can use a tack hammer or the mini sledge, choose your weapon lol.

You want to make air stick to the floor over the bend?
Aircraft designers solved that problem long ago, they're called vortex generators and they're spaced out along the leading edge of the wing on some aircraft. I read a Master's Thesis I discovered online about this very subject, the author claimed a 20% increase in flow by simply placing tiny pyramid shaped objects randomly just prior to the short side radius. On the USAF C-141 aircraft the vortex generators were just diamond shaped pieces of aluminum. Read the same thing in NACA (NASA now) research papers.

All you need is something (~6) small to cause turbulence on the floor before the short side radius.

Clear as mud? :P

You are on the wrong track.

If you BLOW air in it will keep going straight until it hits an obstruction but that is of little consequence as you are in turbo/supercharger territory and that mixture is going in the cylinder wether it likes it or not.

Air/fuel is SUCKED in to a cylinder in normally aspirated applications and will take the shortest path sticking to the short side ( disregarding any unwanted turbulance disrupting that flow )

Flow benches work by mimicking the air being sucked in on the inlet NOT BLOWN.

On the exhaust you leave the floor alone as the gasses being pushed out will follow the outside/longest path.
Leaving the exhaust port floor alone reduces turbulance/gas reversion and encourages cylinder scavenging.

Ricardo wave anybody ? ;)

Just grind the dam thing until you see air or burn through into the tappet bore. Then stop and get out the epoxy

Ok consider the short side radius diamond plated. So now I need a piece of wing to stuff
inside the intake port? he Heh hAH HAH ok I'll port around that part and I'm back at
square one trying to bend this air over my head and don't know quite how to do it.

Could I epoxy blades into the port to guide the air to the center of the hole?

Could I get more air to turn into the hole rather than move across it?

i NEED TO FLOW ABOUT 95CFM, can it be done with stock valves?

By the time the r6 is out of the garage, research and dev. on the kz
head is completed, the final results are outsanding. [ppower] has increased.

It doesn't seem fair the r6 rider hasn't a clue his bike is outclassed for 2013.

brains over braun, to get that weight moving, follow through with the pitch,

good broad power band that punches through the top .

To infinity and beyond, catch that connecting rod

air likes to stick to smooth transitions and nice even radiuses.
air doesn't like abrupt turns, dropoffs,or ski jumps because then it starts tumbling on the backside of the obstruction and effectively closes the hole with the tumbling air.

if you blend the bowl on the short turn with a nice smooth radius from the floor to the edge of the valve seat air will stick to the floor and not tumble.

hth,this info ymmv.
