I was thinking I could just use the sprockets from my existing cams for the gpz cams. They arent interchangable?

I've been looking through the gallery and really like the extended swingarm. What models can I swap a swingarm from?

No sir unfortunately not, your cams would normally be a 3 bolt pattern.

the easiest other than a purpose built arm is the gs 1100 which is two inches over, it requires small shims on both sides of the pivot and two small shock mounts welded on. prolly the cheapest way to go, also you may need a longer brake hanger and line, if your interested use the search its been done to death. best of luck

I've begun the rebuild. While I wait for all of m parts to show up, I decided to paint my engine. I choose to use Duplicolour Engine paint. It was readily available and most people seemed to have good success with it. So I sandblasted the engine case and painted it gloss black. Looks good right now. Time and A few miles will tell the tale of how good a product it is.

You're doin' a Helluva job Paul... You're scaring these guys Paul... ;) You have 42 replies, and 3439 views on your thread.

That paint will toughen up after a few heat cycles. But as you said, it's readily available... so touching it up won't be a problem.

good luck
