let me rephrase the oil wheelie statement... the oil filter is at the back of the engine, so it will pick up the oil, but the crank will not splash it up to the pistons.

The bad part about wheelies is that POLICE treats you like a darn criminal!!!

And practice makes perfect...

Then you get to show off when you pass another rider on a bike with over 100 hp more than yours...

Like this? :woohoo:

This photo was taken at a straight line 1/4 mile sprint. Similar to a drag race, except you're not supposed to be racing the guy in the other lane. Often held on old WW2 airfields. The guy in the other lane was riding a Hayabusa. The old GPz couldn't keep the front down in any gear, so it stayed like that the whole quarter mile, the only limit being my visibility, and put the front down at the finish at 140mph.

Ahead of the Busa rider, obviously

Depends on the engine... And the height and distance of the wheelie...

At 60 miles per hour you are traveling 88 ft per second... Divided by 3 = 29 yards per second... So a 5 second wheelie at 60 mph is a 145 yard wheelie...

That is probably not going to cause any damage IF your oil level is right... There is usually 2 marks on the window... Full and low... Make sure you are on the top mark... NOT at the middle between the two...

If you are going for the minute, mile long wheelie... On an engine prone to oil starvation.... You are likely to spin bearings or even seize the motor...

A quick short fun wheelie here and there should not be a big deal...

:) Luis
