I blew a GSXR up due to that....he is 100% correct....but it was between a 1/2 mile to a mile wheelie. After the blowup it was torn down and you could see the oil starvation and heat coloration....

Hey, they're just parts right? :woohoo:
I remember a dude from Atown that used to wheelie his bike the entire way to Chitown. Crazy ass brothers. I remember that day well. I was driving downtown and followed him most of the way to the city.

daveo wrote: Should I expect loosening of parts from doing wheelies? None thus far...but wondering.

you might lose your balance if you do it too long, because your carburetor floats will probably sink and your engine oil will slosh to the back of the crankcase.

I am pretty sure the kz 1300 -6 has always had fool infection, and I am not sure about the triumph, but it doesn't look carbureted either and probably has some sort of reservoir sump oil'er.

www.kz1300.com/techarticles/z1300-dfi-conversion.html

"If you're considering converting your bike to DFI, please note that you cannot use solid core spark plug wires with a fuel injection computer mounted on your bike. Here is an excellent article on the Magnecor website called "THE TRUTH ABOUT IGNITION WIRE CONDUCTORS" relative to electromagnetic interference caused from using solid core wires. Damage to your computer could result from using the wrong wires!"

This explains fool mileage, no wonder the passing lane is so free most of the time. and there I thought solid core plug wires only affected police radios.
